Ageing
Human, which is one of the highly complicated ones among living creatures in the world, is presumed
to live nearly 75 years in Turkey, acoording to the researches. In my opinion, it is not a bad score when it is
compared to other well-developed countries such as Japan, England, United States, Canada where lif-span
is rising to 80s because of their high level of life standards. If it is needed to examine a human's life, it can be
divided into 4 parts as infancy, youth, adulthood and old age.
First of all, infancy can be regarded as a primitive time since our baby just a receiver rather than a
giver except for his breath to the nature. Simply, a baby is in at any case accepts whatever is served to him.
Therefore, he is not going to maintain his life without proper care which involves such matters as feeding,
hosting, nursing. Afterwards, he begins to meet the new life by producing a few words, understanding his
parents, responsing againist the events and so on. Also, when he takes his first step, he is fairly celebrated by
their parents like Neil Armstrong, as if he is stepping on the moon. Thereafter, his biological growing
continues. Smoothly, his mother and father start to mark the place where his lenght reaches, every year.
Gradually, infancy gives its place to childhood. When he gets aproximately 7, he goes to school, begins to
write and read. And there is a one more step to the monstrosity, puberty.
Puberty is the time that child can not be defined or understood properly because of his ridicilous and
sudden acts. Also, it is the time when adolescents realise their genders as if it is an extraordinary, original
thing. Moreover, arising of the ego identity emerges at that ages. The child cares very much about how he is
understood and regarded by the other people, society. Then, sense of identity, stating the points of his
caharacter, generally starts to be constituted. As for the youthfulness, I am on the opinion that, it is like a
diamond. When human comes to his youth, he begins to shine. Also, if he finds love in that age he can be
seen as lucky. It is this period that, time shows its gratifying colour. That is, its a time without wrinkles,
ilnesses, pain, crowfoots. Also, it is a season without wisdom, so there has been no young person without
simple, silly mistakes. Still, youth keeps it attraction and is deserved to be lived.
Thirdly, but not lastly, world changes. Now our young boy has been a man who has responsibilities
such as work, military service, child and other services to his family. Surely, all of these responsibilities bring
tension, depression, illness with them. Quite slowly, people start to feel his age with his weakening neural,
immune, respiratory systems and all other ageing systems that we can count. Saddly but truely, day by day
he loses his power.
All of this weakening is called, ageing. Our man when he reaches to his 60s can smile when he thinks
about his past memories, whole life, but just a child can spoil his temporary happiness with some words such
as old man, grandpa, greybeard. In my opinion, it is a funny part of the fact that old people resemble to
babies with their attitudes, responses, everyday that passes. Sometimes, when they try to remember their old
days, time shows us that it defeated them. After they lose the battle which they have done with time, they
reject to accept it at first but at the end they all realise that they have to surrender and give in.
As a conclusion, in general aspects, this essay simply narrates how a human life is and it can be lived in
roughly 4 periods. Regarding this, after seeing how my 2 sections have passed so quickly, I can briefly say
that there left just 2.5 parts of mine that I am going to be involved in, unfortunately.
