Communication

          Years, many years ago, Adam and Eve who thought to be the firs humanbeing accordin to biblical informations, manage to conntrive to produce something which is now called,communication. Although it has been many years that since communication was first generated, it is still not clear how communication was formed. Apart from this, I am on the opinion of people’s having several communication ways are quite useful. 

There are three main communication ways which can be grouped as oral communication, written communication and non-verbal communication.

          

          First of all, since the day it was first produced, oral communication has been a vital,

important way for us to reach each other. Humankind, who realizes he has mouth, tongue,

lips, local cord and everything that is servicable while speaking, never gives up from speaking

after he started to talk. Also, he has used it for his many countless aims such as having fun,

helping each other, conveying information, understanding one another and so on. For

example, now, thanks to his speeches we are entertained by Cem Yılmaz, who is most popular

comedian of Turkey. If it is needed to think about our present world, we live by means of our

speeches. For instance students are tauught lessons by their teachers at their schools. As an

another example, when we want to buuy something we can easily get help from the shop

assistants when we talk to them. Also, we are addicted to our televisions. So, if films and

television series were silent there is no doubt tyhat many of us would not like them that much.

Examples are going to be countless. It has been an inevitable fact that speaking here, there,

and anywhere, is in our lives.

           

          Secondly, written communication comes. Mankind has been standing with a pen on

his hand since writing first found by Sumerians many, many years ago. With the help of

writing, man is able to know about his past, culture, language, literature and so on. Again

thanks to the writing, it seems that next generations to come, will know about the times that

we live. Writing is too, is very useful in many areas such as health, education, personal

relations and even politics. For example, hospitals use it for keeping their patients’ records or

even doctors make use of it so as to advise medicines. Also, teachers prefer writing method

for teaching lessons to their students. Moreover, we manage to keep in touch with our friends,

family members who are far away from us, by writing them via internet, cell phones or ,as an

old method, letters. Additively, a politician prepares his speech with writing before he

anounce it in front of public. Writing which is an essentially important communication way,

took its indispensable place in our lives.

           

           As for the non-verbal communication I am on the opinion that it is a strange and

different communication way for humanity. Humans established a weird relation through their

bodie movements and facial expressions. Thus, people can understand each other looking into

one another’s eyes, frequently. For example, if a person is angry about something, she

generally looks in a manner defined as “bad”. Or more simply, if she frowns her eyebrowns

without saying anything anybody can easily understand that she is clearly annoyed. As an

another example, a father con nod his head to his child when he approves something that child

has done. Also, smiling is always a symbol of being cıntented with the situation, so our father

can smile as he hears the thing child has made, with the aim of confirming it. Except from

these, deaf-mute people developed a way of talking with his hands, arms, fingers ,which we

named as sign language. Even if they can not speak with their voices, they can talk with signs.

Unfortunately. Most of us do not know their special language but it should not be so hard and

difficult to learn it for them so that we can make contact with them.

         

          In conclusion, communication is one of the elements that creates the coherence, unity and togetherness of mankind. With its three main methods, as I mentioned above,communication has been continuing to progress, everyday.

Black Out

“ Electricty is the set of physical phonemena asociated with the presence and flow of

ellectric charge. ” that is the Wikipedia deinition of electricity. Our world is divided into two

thanks to the sun as light and dark and the dark part is lightened by electricity since Thomas

Edison’s finding of the light bulb. However, in 2007, Chicago,Illionis, on the 7th of the June, 

at a normal day, everything was turned off. It was really clear that they were living in an

electric world, and everything decayed. Televisions, computers, factories, shortly everything

linked to electricty did not work. Governments collapsed the people who are smart left towns.

Going of the electricity, the black out leads to many consequences in several areas such as 

declining standards of living and there were people who constantly try to survive.

            At first, people’s living standards changed, they had to lighten their homes with

candles. Secondly, communication stopped for them by means of telephones, internet. Also

people who are far away from each other lived trouble of getting together because buses,

trains subways did not mean anything without  power. At that moment people started to

recognize that they belonged to a world which is designed luxuriously them since the

beginning of the humanity. The meaning of light had changed. In the past, with switching on a

button, there was a day-like light even in the  darkness light but now it was like the times of when Shakespeare had lived. 

            Secondly, life is filled with aggressive people who fight to survive because of illnesses

without medicines, scarcity of food, collapsing of the government and law systems. In time,

with factories not processing people started not to reach any kind of food source and people

who are in big towns are exposed to hunger, starve to death. As children of 21th century, they

are generally ignorant about medical issues. Simply they even have difficulty in staunching or

saving their ordinary woonds. As long as time passes, the problems got bigger, people started

to attack one another to enable themselves food, medicine and so on. Laws and governments

lost their sense, significance and validity because people wer hungry, aidless and hopeless.

They had to create their own hopes, lives by themselves. Moreover , with the cities becoming unsafe, people begin to migrate to rural areas, villages.

            In the city of Illionis we all have witnessed how deadly important the electricity is and  

what the possible consequences would be if it left us, forever. As a conclusion, thinking a

world without electricity means a world without light, hope, knowledge and many results that

we can not number or imagine. And it is simply because we can not cook the electricity, we

should use it more carefully and prudently.

Kasım

           

            Miladi takvim’in 11.ayı olan kasım ayından bahsetmek istiyorum. Çünkü hayatım

açısından bu ay benim için çok önemli. Neden mi? Kişisel olarak yazmam gerekirse

öncelikle kasım ayında doğdum ve  ilk kelimem olan anna (anne bile diyememişim)  yine

ağzımdan bu ayda çıktı.Sonrasında  annemle babamın 12 kasım 1983 te tanışmış olduğunu 

öğredim. Bu olayın kasım ayı içinde olan güzel olaylar arasında yer alabilir.Tabikide herşey 

güzel olmamış. 10 kasım töreninden sonra yediğim ilk tokat(sınıftan sinir bir çocuktu) ve 

dedemin vefatı  bu ayın en kötü anıları olarak nitelendirilebilir. Benim için çok önemli olan bu 

kasım ayın yurdumda ve dünyada ne gibi olaylara tanıklık ettiğini merak ettim ve araştırdım.Bu 

ayın hem ülkemiz hem de dünya tarihi açısından önemini keşfettim.

            Dünya tarihinden konuyu ele aldığımzda karşımıza çıkan olaylardan bazılarına örnek

olarak Süveyş Kanalı’nın açılışı ,UNESCO’nun kuruluşu, I.Dünya Savaşı’nın sona ermesi ,

utanç   duvarı olarak nitelendirilen Berlin Duvarının yıkılması,Filistin Devlet’inin kuruluşu ve son olarak Rusya daki Bolşevik İhtilali örnek olarak verilebilir.

Kasım ayı hazan mevsimi  olarak adlandırılır , üzerine şarkılar filmler vardır. “Yine

Aylardan Kasım “ Tual müzik  grubunun dilllere dolanan ünlü bir parçasıdır.Ayrıca bir aşk

filmi olan ve  başrollerini Keanu Reeves ve Charlize Theron’un oynadığı Kasım’da Aşk

Başkadır (Sweet November) filmi yine bu aya ithafen çekilmiştir.Bazı enteresan denemeler de

bu ayda gerçekleşmiştir Sovyetler Birliğinin Mars’a ilk roketi fırlatması ve Tansu Çillerin

Cumhuriyetteki ilk din şurası toplantısında başını örterek ayet okuması gibi olaylar vuku

bulmuştur. Kasım ayının felaketlerine gelirsek, ilk olarak Lizbonda yaşanan depremde 60,000

kişi hayatını kaybetti ve Hindistan’daki kasırgada 5000 kişi öldü 1500 kişi de evsiz kaldı.

Bu ayın Türk tarihi açısından önemine bakarsak günümüzde kullandığımız latin

harflerinin kabulü, Güney Doğu Anadolu Projesi’nin başlaması,Gülhane Parkında okunan

Tanzimat Fermanı ile Tanzimat Devri’nin başlangıcı, 10 kasım 1938’de Atamız’ın ölümü

Mustafa Kemal ‘e Atatürk soyadının verilmesi , 1973 yılında  Dicle, Çukurova ve Anadolu

Üniversitelerinin kuruluşu yine kasım gerçekleşen olaylardandır. Ayrıca tarihimiz açısından

önemli zaferlerden bahsedersek Trabzonspor İngiliz devi Astonvilla’yı eleyerek UEFA

kupasında 3.tura yükselmiştir ve Kahire’de yapılan Uluslararası yüzme yarışmalarında

İbrahim Sulu 400 metrede birinci olarak altın madalyanın sahibi olmuştur. Bu arada,

Kasım ayına ait Blogger da 4 adet blog’um olmasının gerekliliği tarihte hiç bir zaman önemini

kaybetmeyecektir.

Kasım ayı ilginç bir şekilde bir çok aydan biraz daha fazla insanlar için bişeyler ifade

eder. Bu yazımı sevdiğim filmin adıyla bitirmek istiyorum “Kasımda Aşk Başkadır” .

Nuclear Energy

Nuclear power is the use of sustained nuclear fission to generate electiricity. Today,

nuclear power plants provide about 6 % of the world’s energy and 50% of world’s

electiricity.While these numbers seems satiably good, does anyone have the information about

the dangers of it? Nuclear power is clearly a bad type of energy source because of its being expensive and harmful.

            First miserable point of nuclear power is its being costly. Uranium which is the source

of nuclear energy is a rare element and because of its infrequency, it is not hard to predict how

expensive it is. Acording to researches uranium sources is predicted to be consumed in

approximately 20 and 30 years. In addition to these, considering bureocratic and technical

details which are necessary for the establishment of a new power plant, a nucleur power

station will be completed approximately in 20 and  30 years and it is not possible to build a nuclear power as soon as possible.

            Another side effect of nuclear power is its being harmful for both people and nature. In

nuclear power plant energy is provided by shreding the automic nuclesus. During this,

unfortunately the term that we call  “radiation” emerges,constantly. It has been stored in

special buildings with lead graves and emits radiation for many years and continues to kill the

nature and people wtih cancer. Also, with the performing of the nuclear reactors the materials

such as plutoniom, stronesium, tritium appers as contamination. Firstly, plutonium is highly

poisoned and carcinogenic. As for the stromsium this radioactive material effects the plants

and animals. Moreover, the consequences are deadly when a nuclear station is damaged such

as Fukushima. For instance, the area where Chernobyle disaster happened is still plantles and

lifeless. No alive creature has lived on that territory since the explosion of Chernobyle nuclear station.

            Today the nuclear power energy is still continue to be produced all around the world,

Altough it is known for sure that the damages it create on people and nature are teribble. I

hope in the following centuries we as humanbeings give up from the nuclear power and begin

to use a kind of less harmfull energy source such as solar energy, wind power. If  we can not

find a way to get rid of the nuclear energy, we and our children might have three arms, two heads, one  day.:)

Karikatür’ün Tarihçesi

            Dilimize fransızcadan girmiş olan karikatür, sözsüz abartma sanatıdır.İlk karikatür

örneği,ünlü italyan ressam  Leonardo Davinci’ye aittir. Bu örneklemede Leonardo’nun

normal ölçülerdeki bir insanın kafasının abartılmış boyutlara getirlmiş çizimi karşımıza

çıkmaktadır. Sonraki dönemlerde ise karikatüre dair bir çok ressam bu abartma sanatını daha

ileri bir boyuta taşıyarak geliştirmişlerdir. Türk tarihinde ise  karikatürün zemini hazırlayan

minyatür çiziminin önemli bir yeri vardır.Keza karagöz oyununda kullanılan figürler

abartılmış çizgiler ve gülünç tipler türk karikatürünün oluşumu için önemli olmuştur.

İlk karikatür 1867’de yayımlanmıştır. 1870 yılında ise Teodor Kasap’ın yayımladığı Diyojen

türk tarihindeki ilk güldürü dergisidir. Bu dönemdeki karikatürler sanat özelliği daha

ağır basarak, içerisinde padişaha bol eleştiri barındırarak çizilmiştir.Bu sebeple II.Abdülhamit

döneminde eleştiri amaçlı güldürmece yasaklanmıştır.Bu yasak II.Meşrutiyete kadar

sürmüştür.II Meşrutiyet döneminin en önemli sanatçılarından biri  Cemil Cem’dir.Türk

karikatürünün 2.dönemi diyebilceğimiz dönem ise cumhuriyetin kurulmasıyla birlikte

başlamıştır. Bu dönem okur yazar sayısının artması basın yayın alanlarının canlanmasına yol

açmıştır.Bu dönemde ise artık çizimin sanatsal amaçla değilde güncel konuları eleştirmek için

yapılması benimsenmiştir. Çizimdeki bir diğer gelişme ise batıdan alınmış olan simgelerin ve

kalıpların kullanılmasıdır. Örneğin başını çarpan bi adamın kafasında yıldızların uçuşması.İlk

karikatür albümünün çıkması, ilk karikatür sergisinin açılışı bu dönemde meydana

gelmiştir. Yine ilk kadın karikatürist de bu dönemde ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu dönemin en önemli

sanatçısı Cemal Nadi Güler’dir hatta ilk çizgi roman sayılabilecek olan Amca Bey’i

yaratmıştır. Türk karikatürünün 3.dönemi ise 1950 de başlamıştır biz bu döneme çağdaş

karikatür dönemi diyoruz. 1950 ve 1960 yılları arasında karikatür altın çağını yaşamıştır.

1960’tan sonra bir duraklama dönemi geçirmiştir. Okuyucu ve izleyici karikatüre daha az ilgi

göstermeye başlamıştır. Gazeteler bu dönemde yabancı ülkelerdeki karikatüristlerin ve

Türkiye’de ün yapmış karikatüristlerin karikatürlerini yayımlayarak genç sanatçıların

çalışmalarına fazla şans tanımamışlardır. Şu anda içinde bulunduğumuz dönem ise yeni

karikatür dönemidir. 1960larda başlayan duraklama 1970lerin başında bir yenileme sürecine

geçmiştir. Bu dönemin en önemli olaylarından biri 1975’te İstanbul Tepebaşı’nda kurrlan

Türkiyenin ilk karikatür müzesidir. Bu dönemdeki çizimler genelde soyut konulardan

arındırılarak daha çok çok çizgi romana özgü teknikler kullanılmıştır. Karikatürlerin altına

yazılan diyaloglar artık balon şeklinde kullanılmaya başlamıştır. Bu dönemin en önemli

özelliğinden biri sözlü gülmecenin karikatüre aktarılmasıdır buna da en iyi örnek Aziz

Nesindir. 1971’de Gırgır adlı gülmece dergisi çıkmıştır.Oğuz Aral’ın yönetimini üstlendiği bu

dergi Türkiye’de görülmedik bir başarı kazanmıştır hatta dünyada yayımlanan 3.büyük

karikatür gülmece dergisi olarak tarihe geçmiştir. Behiç Pek,Can Barslan,Metin Üst bu

dönemin önemli karikatüristlerindendir. Gırgır, Fırt, Leman, Penguen ve Uykusuz dergileri 

 devamlılığını sürdürmektedir. 

Sexual Education

Today in our contemporary world,we continue to face with countless problems such as

health,transportation,and education,especially in Turkey.If it is needed to focus on education

issue,we are going to recognize that we have stil lack of sexual education both scholls and

homes,which contains important subjects like,sexual anatomy,sexual reproduction,sexual

intercourse, emotional relations,reproductive rights and responsibilities and other aspects of

human sexual behaviour.

            First of all,sexual education is deeply necessary in our country so as to build more

conscious,tolerant anr respectful society.Due to the fact that teenagers are not enoughly

educated about the ways of birth control neither by their parents nor by their families it causes

high rate of teeneage illegitimate births.Also,I am on the opinion that since the deficiency of

sex education,society becomes more introverted,intolerant about this subject and considers it

as a huge embarrasment. For instance,think about a teenager who comes down with a veneral

disease and how he/she is going to find a solution about this problem.By consulting her

family?Unfortunately,most of them not.Since she can not get any help from her parents,

she is going to ignore the problem that she has or seek the internet to cope with it.Even I am

not mentioning about the misinformations that she might find.In addition to these,by

providing sexual education and its subtitles to the people,it can  be reached such a point that

people begin to consider sexual education as a more common and natural subject since they

will get used to it.Besides these,because of the unintentional pregnancies,population rate

increases,excessively.

Secondly,besides sexual education is profitable for  the society it is useful for the

individual as well.An adolescent must be aware of his/her body and be conscious of the

changes happening to her/him.After he is educated about sexuality,he is not going to scare

and he will act logically.Also sex education helps adolescents to accept their genders in

society.With this acceptance he might interact easily with his peers.In addition a teenager who

knows about herself will recognize any mishap happening to her body.

            Opponents of sexual education argued that such an education that is given to teenagers

will attract their attention to the point of such relations.They claim that the best way is to keep

them far away from sexual subjects and behave as if nothing exists about these subjects.It

arrived such a point that it is impossible to access any information about sexual education

through wikipedia which is world’s most clicked free encylopedia,principally,in turkish

language.And it is psycologically proved that suppressed instincts are never dissappear when

instead of it, these instincts will find a way to emerge,differently.If our basic instincts are

suppressed,they will cause either prurience and perversity or coyness or anger or all of them

together.Our instincts are parts of our nature and it is impossible to deactive them or suppress

them.

            In conclusion,sexual education must be provided for teenagers for their physically and

phycologically favour.With this education they are going to accept theirselves and their

gender and the opposite ones and they will continue to their normal life.
